Meet Astrid

Astrid Billings is a Kentucky-based author of interconnected sports romance, drawing on her day job as a mental health clinician and her marriage to a former international goalkeeper to write with an insider's eye. She brings authenticity to the locker room, the front office, and the pressures that follow athletes long after the final whistle. That same clinical background shapes her characters from the inside out — she's less interested in who wins the match than in how her characters learn to trust, to stay, and to let themselves be known. The BUFC series follows the players, coaches, and staff of Bluegrass Union FC through overlapping love stories, starting with Going for the Keeper.
